Physical Therapy

AdamsPlace Physical Therapy provides rehabilitation services that help to restore function, improve mobility, manage pain, as well as aid in the prevention or limitation of disabilities as a result of injury or disease. Physical therapists use electrical stimulation, hot and cold therapy, massage, and other physical and electrical modalities to reduce pain and increase range of motion. They also teach mobility training using prostheses, wheelchairs, canes, crutches, and walkers. Physical therapy is an appropriate intervention for cerebrovascular accidents (i.e. strokes), orthopedic injuries and surgeries, developmental delays, etc.

A physician's order for therapy is required in order to qualify for this service.

Occupational Therapy

The Occupational Therapy department at AdamsPlace focuses on helping patients to become as independent as possible. Occuapational therapy provides training and rehabilitation for people who have decreased ability to complete activities of day to day living.

Occupational Therapy focuses on assisting people to overcome physical deficits by teaching compenstory stategies, providing adaptive equipment, and strengthening for functional movement. Home management, kitchen activities, and driving are also skill which are addressed by our Occupational Therapy professionals.

Speech Therapy

AdamsPlace speech therapy helps patients overcome communication conditions such as aphasia, swallowing difficulties, and voice disorders. Our speech therapists will conduct evaluations and therapy for speech/language disorders, dysphagia, voice or audiological disorders; while also utilizing augmentative communication and aural rehabilitation as needed.

A physician's order for therapy is required in order to qualify for this service.

Out-patient Therapy

AdamsPlace is proud to offer physical, occupational and speech therapy on an out-patient basis. This service is for patients who are able to function in their own home setting but the physician has requested additional therapy to achieve their highest level of function. AdamsPlace accepts most types of insurance and will file the insurance paperwork for the patient.

A physician's order for therapy is required in order to qualify for this service.
