Meet Chef Michael DeChirico!

Independent Living Chef Michael DeChirico credits his Italian heritage for his love of fine food. He attended Johnson & Wales College in Charleston, SC where he received his Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. Following work as a Sous Chef at a popular Hilton Head, SC, restaurant, Chef DeChirico moved to Tennessee as Executive Chef at a Nashville restaurant until his arrival in 2001 at AdamsPlace Independent Living.

From Veal Scallopini to Scallops en Papillote to the finest beef tenderloin, residents of AdamsPlace Independent Living enjoy quality, variety and attention to their personal likes and dislikes in fine dining options. Our residents brag to their friends and family that it’s “the best restaurant in town!”

Chef Michael voted TOP CHEF
at Cheffin Up Cook-Off September 21, 2011!

Independent Living's Chef Michael was voted TOP CHEF at NHC's Cheffin Up Cook-Off held September 21, 2011 at AdamsPlace. 4 NHC Chefs each received a mystery basket with identical food items and had to create two entrees.  A panel of 12 judged each dish on Appearance, Creativity and Taste. Each Judge had to raise $125 to participate, there was a wine tasting and judging contest, and a silent auction, with all proceeds going to the annual Alzheimer Association's Walk to Remember. Congratulations Chef Michael!
